Sheep circles: New Project
In March this year I was awarded funding to further my practise through learning a new skill. I chose to explore screen printing and undertook a one day intensive training course at Edinburgh print makers which then lead to a further 5 sessions working in their studios in Union Street. In the lead up to my time in Edinburgh I under took a fairly lenghtly period of time researching new ideas to support the screen printing. This unwittingly resulted in the making of a series of paintings some of which you can see here. Along with the paintings are my first attempts at screen printing and although they are just the beginning of another journey I think they are worth putting in, if only to see the linking up of my ideas...which I sincerely hope makes sense! Thanks for visiting and stop by again to see more new work.
Funding was kindly awarded through the Visual Artist Awards Scheme and is funded by Scottish Borders Council and Creative Scotland. Liason was through and with CABN (Creative Arts Business Network).
